5 Ways to Channel Your Inner Confidence

Ever wonder what it would feel like to be really Confident?
I'm not talking about the type of confidence a "dusty dude" gets after he spends 3 of his McDonald's pay checks on that new pair of Air Jordan's.
Or even the type of confidence a "hood rat" gets after she just spent the majority of her monthly government check on the finest bundles of 24 inch Remy weave that money can buy (despite her children Shawnquetta & lil Fuquan jr. needing school clothes).
The type of confidence I'm referring to has absolutely nothing to do with the feeling most of us get after we buy things that makes us feel good upon purchase but never seems to sustain that postive feeling.
Below are 5 keys ANYONE can use to tap into the only type of confidence that is real... INNER CONFIDENCE.
1.) Do Something You Love & Are Good At
We ALL have something that we are good at. Be it cooking, drawing, or even doing puzzles! Everyone on the planet has one talent, even if that talent is for something that is commonly unappreciated.
Let's look at "Gamers" for instance, or people who play video games. Many people who consider themselves gamers tend to have an undying love for video games. And because they love playing video games so much they tend to do it VERY OFTEN. Usually every chance they get.
If you ever have the chance to watch a gamer when he or she is deep into playing their favorite video game, they often have a sense of focus that can only be compared to a professional athlete or billionaire business mogul. They also tend to express their emotions (good or bad) very passoinately and unapologetically. And few of them if any, are concerned with how they look to other people or anyone at all for that matter.
This ladies and gentlemen is called confidence. A person is confident when they are doing what they love and are passionate about and all that person needs to do is to channel that self assured feeling they get out of doing what they love into their EVERYDAY LIFE.
2.) Practice Positive Self Talk
We've all heard the phrase "Speak it into Existance," but very few of us know what that really means. This phrase is a simple way of describing something that is more scientific and deals with the conscious and subconscious mind.
The whole concept of speak it into existence has to do with how one can program their own subconscious mind through repetition. By consciously repeating something, either a mantra or affirmation over and over... and over again, we can imprint that phrase or idea into our subconscious mind, thus helping us to manifest and bring it into our reality (Read: The Secret Law of Attraction).
So if one wanted to manifest more confidence, all they need to do is to tell themselves... I AM CONFIDENT, over and over again either out loud to themselves or even in their head. DO NOT break this habit until you begin to feel more confident.
3.) Model Yourself After a Confident Person
This one is fairly easy to do since we all have seen a confident person before. Something that can assist you in your quest for confidence is to See What it Looks Like. Find someone you know or it can even be someone you don't know, like a celebrity or even a fictional character from a movie or TV show. You don't have to try to become this person, but what you can do is Take All of the Traits from this person that you like and wish to have.
For example, if you idolize a particular wrestler and feel as though you want to embody the type of confidence that he or she exudes, you don't have to go around body slamming people but what you can do is adopt some of the mannerisms and characteristics of that person for yourself. Can you smell what The Anarkist is Cooking!?
4.) Fake it, Until You Make It!
Some people might have problems with this one because they feel that Faking it until you make it means that they have to pretend to be confident or something that they are not until they somehow actually become confident.
This is EXACTLY what that means! A great way to explain is this...
Have you ever told a lie?
Not just any old lie, but a lie you have consistently told over the course of years and to many different people. If you have done this (Like ME!) you notice that you can tell a lie so much and for so long, it gets to the point where you ACTUALLY begin to believe it!
When I was a kid I used to tell my friends that I met Ben Wallace (former Basketball player for the Detroit Pistons). It was really my best friend who got to meet him. But I told that lie so much, I would often have to remind myself that in reality I had never even met Ben Wallace. After a while I just started to believe this lie! It's funny how the mind works. Try faking it until you make it long enough and I promise you, eventually you will believe the lie which is exactly what you are trying to do.
5.) Know Thyself
The Absolute Best way to obtain INNER CONFIDENCE is to go on a spiritual journey within. It's not the easiest path but it definitely is the MOST Rewarding.
The most confident people on this earth will always be spiritual leaders and teachers. More specifically the ones who took a true journey into their inner world and figured out who they truly were and what was their purpose in the world.
In essence, that is what most of us are trying to figure out anyway, whether we are aware of it or not. Learning who you really are and your true place in the world will not only make you more confident than every other person walking around on the Earth but would probably lead you to the answers to questions you never even knew you wanted to know.
It can also give you the Peace of Mind that mirrors the most well known spiritual leaders from Budda to Jesus.
