MEG AND T FARRIS EMBRACED BY ROC NATION

After the fallout of Meg Thee Stallion and her former label 1501 Certified. The relationship has become a classic case of betrayal for some.  Meg Thee Stallion and Carl Crawford have been in the headlines lately. With Roc Nation now managing Megan, many have pointed the finger squarely at Jay-Z as being the primary piece behind the fallout over at 1501 Certified. But there seems to have been betrayal early on at 1501 Certified. T. FARRIS who originally started 1501 Certified with Carl Crawford decided to part ways and continue to manage Meg under Roc Nation. Carl Crawford has highlighted in the past that Meg still owes the label 4 albums. And that all of her previous releases were simply mixtapes.

The Roc Nation brand is continuing its quest to consolidate the relevant acts in hip-hop. Some insiders in the industry have complained that Roc Nation is simply interrupting the business of independent labels.
Roc Nation would not have been able to secure Meg Thee Stallion had not T FARRIS pushed for the deal to close. Roc Nation and T FARRIS may have also advised Meg to remain silent about the partnership to keep Carl Crawford out of the loop.

Roc Nation which is now headed by Desire Perez has been very aggressive about advertising to new artists and luring acts away from other labels. The entertainment agency has been expanding and appears to be channeling much of the energy towards the south, Yo Gotti, Ti and now Meg Thee Stallion maybe all indicators of what is to come.

As for Carl Crawford, after all of the legal dealing, he will be left with picking up the pieces to 1501 Certified. Crawford recently announced a partnership with J. Prince to help secure the 1501 Certified brand completely. This saga is still ongoing...
